Action programme

The AWEX action programme is an annual foreign market prospecting programme for Walloon companies, which offers export promotion and support actions. It includes various initiatives such as participation in trade fairs, economic missions and contact days. AWEX’s strategy combines sectoral priorities with geographical opportunities to help companies go international.

How can you take part?

Contact the AWEX Regional Centre closest to your company OR enter an access request. In both cases, a meeting will be arranged quickly with a customer from the Regional Centre team, usually at your company. This initial meeting has several objectives:

Familiarise ourselves with your export activities and projects

Analyse your company’s eligibility and access to our services, which will be explained to you in detail
Assess your ability to start exporting through an export maturity diagnostic. The aim is to ensure that your company is truly ready and that it has all the necessary resources in-house

Conditions

Your company must meet the following cumulative conditions:

Have a company number (to be requested from the Banque Carrefour des entreprises)
Have a place of business in Wallonia

Propose a product or service with real added value
Have a concrete international development project

How do we draw up the programme?

A team at your service

Our action programme, implemented by the Lounges, Events and Protocol Department, the geographical and sectorial of AWEX, is the fruit of several stages of preparation internally and with our partners (clusters, federations…), guided by a matrix strategy that has enabled actions to be selected by cross-referencing the sectoral priorities of Walloon economic players with the opportunities detected on foreign markets.

It is the result of a strategic process based on active consultation involving in particular our international network of economic and trade advisors, Wallonie-Bruxelles International, Walloon and Belgian operators supporting foreign trade and investment and, of course, the companies themselves, whose developments are taken into account in order to update our support programme.

How to take part in an AWEX campaign?

How do I submit my application to participate in the trade fair?

The application is made online via the business portal on the Wallonia Export & Investment Agency (AWEX) website.

You must be a Wallonia Export & Investment Agency (AWEX) client company and submit your application by the deadline specified on the trade fair page.

Each application is assessed by Wallonia Export & Investment Agency (AWEX) based on your international project, your level of export readiness and the specific conditions of the campaign.

Participation is only confirmed once approved by Wallonia Export & Investment Agency (AWEX).
