Non-reimbursable public financial assistance granted to a Walloon company to support an internationalisation project, provided that the project meets specific economic objectives and eligibility criteria defined by the Walloon Government Decree of 14 December 2023.

Market development support helps Walloon companies to develop a new market or launch a product or service internationally. Wallonia Export & Investment Agency (AWEX) provides financial support, via an annual budget, for prospecting activities carried out over a twelve-month period.

What are the eligibility criteria for Wallonia Export & Investment Agency (AWEX) grants?

To access Wallonia Export & Investment Agency (AWEX) grants and services, the company must meet four essential conditions:

– Be an active business
Be registered with the CBE with active status (self-employed, SME or company).

– Have a foothold in Wallonia
Have a main place of business located in Wallonia.

– Have a credible international project
The project must be capable of generating added value for the Walloon economy (employment, production, innovation).

– Carry out a Maturity Assessment
A free assessment with an AWEX Account Manager determines eligibility for grants and services.

How to take part in an AWEX campaign?

How do I submit my application to participate in the trade fair?

The application is made online via the business portal on the Wallonia Export & Investment Agency (AWEX) website.

You must be a Wallonia Export & Investment Agency (AWEX) client company and submit your application by the deadline specified on the trade fair page.

Each application is assessed by Wallonia Export & Investment Agency (AWEX) based on your international project, your level of export readiness and the specific conditions of the campaign.

Participation is only confirmed once approved by Wallonia Export & Investment Agency (AWEX).
