Wallonia Export & Investment Agency’s (AWEX) Technology Partnerships and Innovation Networks Directorate promotes innovation and growth in international markets by connecting Walloon start-ups, spin-offs and young companies to global ecosystems, supporting them in their search for funding and helping them join international incubators and specialised clusters.

Facilitating international collaboration

We help Walloon start-ups and spin-offs connect with global innovation networks and cooperate with universities, clusters and research centres through access to specialised incubators and accelerators.

Encouraging technology transfer

We support the establishment of partnerships to accelerate the development of new technologies and strengthen the competitiveness of businesses, with a particular focus on start-ups and spin-offs.

Fostering economic development

Through access to new markets and international resources, we contribute to growth and job creation in Wallonia, with specific support for start-ups and spin-offs.

Support with prospecting

Market development support helps Walloon companies to develop a new market or launch a product or service internationally. Wallonia Export & Investment Agency (AWEX) provides financial support, via an annual budget, for prospecting activities carried out over a twelve-month period.

Organisation of missions focused on technology or innovation funding
Negotiation and implementation of soft landing agreements for Walloon and foreign start-ups via our partner incubator Ignity, which specialises in innovative technologies
