The General Management of the Wallonia Export & Investment Agency (AWEX)
The day-to-day management of the Wallonia Export & Investment Agency (AWEX) is overseen by a General Management team coordinated by an Administrator General.
Together, they ensure the implementation of the Management Contract and define the Agency’s strategic priorities in support of Walloon companies and the economic attractiveness of Wallonia.
Two General Directorates structure the activities of the Wallonia Export & Investment Agency (AWEX):
- Products & Services, dedicated to the operational support of companies and investors
- International Affairs, responsible for markets, sectors and the international network
They coordinate all the expertise required for the success of export and investment projects, including financial support, strategic guidance, sectoral and geographical expertise, European programmes and the international network of advisors.
The Brussels headquarters also hosts the support services departments, including accounting, human resources, logistics, legal affairs and IT, as well as the units directly supporting the Administrator General: strategy and evaluation, marketing and communication, quality management, data protection and information security.
